Harry is a rescue dog we got from a local shelter a in late 1996, and at the time we estimated him to be 2-4 yrs old.  How he ended up there, nobody knows, but he had been very well taken care of and is extremely sociable with everybody. The first thing my husband said when I brought him home was "'That's the hairiest dog I've ever seen", so he became known as Harry, aka Harry-Dog. We adopted him to a couple who had small children but unfortunately one of them became allergic to him (they actually shaved him down thinking that would help!), so they brought him back to us. We then adopted him to another couple who had an 8mo female Aussie and they wanted another dog who was more 'laid back', but a couple of weeks later they returned him because he was *too* laid back since all he wanted to do lay around on the couch and get loved on. The day they brought him back, Brian said he's not going anywhere else...he's staying here. And Harry is definitely a "daddy's" dog and will choose Brian over anyone. One of their favorite things to do is work in the garden together or go fishing at our pond, although Harry is kind of afraid of the fish when they're flopping around. Harry is a wonderful therapy dog and someday I plan on getting him certified so we can go visit people and hopefully 'Make their Day'.
